TIGERS ABOUT TO CLINCH...RED SOX IN A BIT OF A PINCH

Man, we're getting down to the wire!
The Red Sox are battling the Rays for the American League wildcard...
and how do they respond? By getting hammered 9-2! The Rays are, now,
3 games back!!
Boston is just tearing-up September, baby! They're 3-11 this month!!
Talk about pathetic...the highlight of this game, for Boston fans, was former Red Sox Johnny Damon getting hit by a pitch in the 6th inning!
I like Damon. Sometimes Boston fans can be so petty. Ya, he went to the Yankees, years ago, for more money. Get over it...it's a freakin' business! He helped you win your first World Series title in 86 fuckin' years!!!
Johnny Damon smiles and looks into the Boston Red Sox dugout as he rubs his arm after getting hit by a pitch...

The Detroit Tigers had a chance to clinch the AL Central Division title last night.
The Cleveland Indians lost to the Texas Rangers 7-4, leaving Detroit's magic number for clinching the AL Central to 1 game.
The Tigers couldn't pull it off last night - they ran into a HOT pitcher and Max Scherzer had an off night.
Scherzer pitched 5 innings, allowed 7 hits, 5 runs, 1 walk and 8 Ks...but gave-up 3 home runs.
Brandon McCarthy was on the hill for the A's. McCarthy went 7 innings, allowed 5 hits, 1 run, 2 walks and 8 Ks.
David DeJesus hit a 3-run homer in the 1st inning. Kurt Suzuki and Cliff Pennington followed with solo homers.
Delmon Young went yard for the Tigers lone run.
Tonight: Doug Fister vs Trevor Cahill at 10:05 PM.
