KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE

Now we're talkin'.
The Orioles beat the Angels 8-3.
The Blue Jays beat the Yankees 5-4.
...And the Red Sox beat the Rays 4-3.
These results provided a little cushioning - a 4-game lead over the Rays...
a 5-game lead over the Angels...and Boston inched a game closer to the Yankees, who hold a 3 1/2 game lead in the AL East.
Red Sox pitching was, finally, looking solid.
Josh Beckett returned, after spraining his right ankle, and pitched 6 innings, allowed 7 hits, 3 runs, 1 walk and 7 Ks.
Alfredo Aceves pitched a scoreless 7th and struck-out 2 batters.
Daniel Bard, who has been roughed-up lately, struck-out the side in the 8th.
Jonathan Papelbon struck-out the side in the 9th for his 30th save.
Papelbon notched his 500th career strikeout and became the 1st player to record 30 saves in each of his first 6 full seasons!
