ELLSBURY GOES YARD TWICE...MATSUI HITS #500...KATE UPTON OVERLOAD

The Red Sox shutout the Orioles 4-0.
Jacoby Ellsbury hit 2 homers and Adrian Gonzalez went 4-for-5.
Former Tiger Andrew Miller got the win. Miller pitched 5 2/3 innings, gave up
2 hits, 6 walks and added 3 strikeouts.
Ellsbury signs some autographs on the way into the clubhouse...

The Oakland A's beat the Detroit Tigers 7-5.
Before the game, the Tigers traded two minor league prospects
(Julio Rodriguez, a catcher for Class A Lakeland, and Antonio Cruz, a left-hander for Class A West Michigan) to the Kansas City Royals for third baseman Wilson Betemit.
Brandon Inge was sent to the Toledo MudHens. He's been horrific at the plate - batting .177 with 1 homer and 17 RBIs. He was 0-for-24 over his past 8 games and 4-for-54 (.074) since June 24!

Last week I inducted Hot Oakland A's wife Amanda McCarthy into the Hot Baseball Wife Hall of Fame. Her hubby, Brandon McCarthy, was the A's starting pitcher on Wednesday. McCarthy pitched 5 innings, gave up 6 hits, 4 runs,
1 walk and notched 4 Ks.

Hideki Matsui hit his 500th professional homer. Matsui has hit 168 MLB homers and cranked 332, in Japan, for the Yomiuri Giants.

Duane Below started for Detroit, making his MLB debut.
Below pitched 5 innings, allowed 5 hits, 3 runs(only 1 earned), 1 walk and
2 strikeouts.
The heat index was 99 degrees at game time - a little hard on pitchers...

I've been collecting these pics all week. I'm unleashing them now.
