RAINY BOSTON LOSS...TIGERS HOMER-HAPPY WIN...NEW TRANSFORMERS BABE

Wednesday's game at Fenway was delayed by rain four times before it was called after 7 1/2 innings. The Padres beat the Red Sox 5-1.
The flu bug is making the rounds through the Boston lineup with the latest casualties being Marco Scutaro and Josh Beckett.
Red Sox manager Terry Francona faces a tough dilemma - with interleague play continuing, Boston plays 9 road games - 3 each in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Houston - the Red Sox cannot employ the DH. David Ortiz is riding a hot bat and Francona doesn't want to sit him for 9 games. What to do?
The answer seems to be to play Ortiz at 1st base and move Adrian Gonzalez to right field. Gonzalez, briefly, played in right during winter league ball a few years ago.

The Tigers avoided a sweep by the Dodgers. Detroit beat Los Angeles 7-5.
Casper Wells, Miguel Cabrera, Magglio Ordonez and Don Kelly all hit homers.
Maggs hasn't gone DEEP in a while...Nice to see...

The HBWHOF is a HUGE fan of both the TRANSFORMERS flicks and
Megan Fox.
I think Michael Bay is a weasel and I'm saddened by the fact that the new Transformers: Dark of the Moon won't be showcasing Megan Fox' extreme hotness. Here's the consolation prize...
